To celebrate the launch of Resident Evil 6, the first if two lectures to be hosted by St. Bartholomew Hospital's Pathology Museum in London.  With an umbrella banner of No Hope Left, the two lectures aim to explore key themes within the sixth installment of the multi-million-selling videogame franchise, which is released on October 2nd 2012.

 

Part two of the Pathology Museum Lectures will see Professor John Oxgord, widely regarded as one of the finest virologists in the world, examining Resident Evil's now infamous C-Virus and whether the existence of such a virus is that far fetched in modern society.

 

The world renowned influenza virologist Professor John Oxford is Scientific Director of Retroscreen Virology Ltd., and Professor of Virology at St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London Hospital, Queen Mary’s School of Medicine and Dentistry. British-born, his research interest is the pathogenicity of influenza, in particular the 1918 Spanish Influenza strain. This research has been featured on science television programmes in the UK, USA, Germany and The Netherlands.
